Intermediate:
I have used Google forms and Flubaroo for quite a while now, but as I was doing this assignment, I have to share some EXCITING news that I just learned! It is seriously game-changing! I used my favorite extension, Tech Smith Snag-it, to take a screen shot of the excitingness!
That's right! You can now make it so Flubaroo can identify when a question might have more than one correct answer. You fill this in through the answer key you make yourself. LOVE this!
Okay, one feature that I love about Flubaroo is you can quickly identify what question the most students struggled with; because it will highlight them in orange. It takes doing the math out of the equation by doing it for you!
Another aspect that is awesome, that I actually haven't used is the email grades option. As I was exploring it, I realized it lets you send back their answers, the answer key, and it also lets you enter any feedback that you want to send to that student. I am really looking forward to taking advantage of this feature!
For my branching form, I decided to make a survey to give my incoming literacy Students. See below! I am looking forward to using this to get to know my new 3rd grade readers!
Advanced:
Alright, so I have heard a lot about autoCrat, and decided to give it a try! I put together a template in Google Docs that listed the student's name, the correct answers, and then what they entered. It was time-consuming at first to create the document that I wanted to create the merge with, but then you realize how much it pays off in the end, especially if you ask it to email it out for you! I think this could be a great way to give feedback to students from Google Forms that parents could understand too. I really like this, but I just need more time to make it feel more comfortable. Here is an example of the report out I created.

I did not know that about Flubaroo and multiple answers, I will have to share that with the rest of the Tech Nerds. That is awesome.
ReplyDeleteEmailing info to students can be very useful. They can get their grades, see the answers, or get their answers as soon as they submit a Form. I have to assume there are some other neat ideas about what else you can do with this feature if you give it a little thought. This is something I am going to have to think on a little bit sometime soon. Anyway, I feel like I was just rambling a bit so it is time to bid you adieu.
